We have submitted an application for full planning approval and listed building consent to convert Ingleside House back into residential accommodation, and to develop the grounds in which the house is located.

The overall objective of the proposal, including the new steading buildings and subdivision of the existing dwelling, is to preserve the unique architectural elements of the building through a considered and respectful approach.

Residential development proposal at Broughty Ferry Mews showing conversion of Ingleside House and new housing

The proposed new steading houses within the grounds will provide a high standard of residential accommodation, enhancing the availability of accessible and environmentally sustainable, low-carbon housing within the local area. Works to the existing house will be carried out to a high standard to ensure it retains its character while being adapted for modern living.

The proposal has been developed through extensive historical analysis of the building, the site and its wider context. This has informed a scheme that is contemporary in appearance while remaining rooted in the site’s physical and historic setting.

The design is tailored to its individual context through its materiality, built form and placement on site, enhancing both the existing building and the surrounding area.
