Yes, we do. Before you begin your project, we would highly recommend having an initial chat with us to discuss your ideas. During the consultation we’ll ask questions, listen to your ideas and form an overall idea of what you have in mind. Likewise if you are unsure what you would like, we know the correct questions to ask to help create a personal brief.

As we are architects based in the Angus and Dundee areas we are experienced in working with clients whose homes may be in listed buildings or conservations areas where there may be specialist requirements to consider when planning a project. We can help we can help  to navigate the often difficult process of seeking planning permission and designing and developing your property no matter what style it is.

We don;t “specialize” in any particular type of projects.

We have a wide experience of most types and the majority of those has been in residential architecture, creating homes our clients love to live in. When doing Residential, the main project types that we work on are whole house renovations/re designs, house extensions, and bespoke  new build houses.

 

We are also involved in many Commercial projects from national supermarket chains, theaters, community buildings and entertainment.

Yes, we offer a full architectural service where we can take your project all the way from concept through to completion. Our services can be tailored to suit your needs, if e.g. you only need our planning services wand not the full architectural service then that’s no problem. We can work with you as much or as little as your project requires. 

As a firm, we use the RIBA Recommended Fee Scale as a way of determining our fee structure. As a guide our recommended fee percentage is 10% of the contract sum for a Full Service depending on the size and complexity of you project.  There may be additional fees depending on the extent of your project.

Nobody can guarantee a successful outcome with a planning application as the decision lies with the local planning authority. We have ample experience submitting planning applications with our local Angus and Dundee councils therefore are aware of their guidelines and requirements which allows us to present a planning application with the best chance of success. Although  nobody can guarantee planning permission there are ways to maximise your chances and if that means a quick phone call to a local planning agent within the council planning departments to run an idea past them prior to submitting an application we won’t hesitate to do that.

The regulation time for planning approval for Dundee or Angus Councils is a minimum of 8 weeks after the submission registration date. The length of time it takes depends on a range of factors including the size, scale and complexity of the project.
