A first for us – an application for planning approval for a boat house and jetty. The site is located on the north shore of Loch Tummel, Perthshire, with a beautiful and uninterrupted view towards Schiehallion. The proposal aligns the boat house and jetty to frame this view, creating a direct visual connection to the landscape.

From inside, the building is orientated towards the “Fairy Hill of the Caledonians”, strengthening that relationship between the structure and its setting.

We have proposed a lightweight and sustainable architectural approach, allowing the building to be delivered in smaller components. This responds to both the rural location and site access constraints, while minimising disruption to the surrounding environment.

This is fun, sometimes.
